New ITV dating show sees singletons move in together on first date
A brand new ITV dating show will see singletons immediately move in together on their first date.
The Cabins will throw contestants into their own exclusive cabin, complete with simmering hot tubs and set in beautiful surroundings in the UK, from the moment they first meet.
Nestled together in their intimate hideaway, the singletons will have quality time to really get to know their date.
From heartfelt moments or declarations of love to awkward silences and difficult dating conversations, viewers will be able to follow all the antics and find out if the sparks fly or quickly fizzle out.
Having made it through the first 24 hours they then have to decide if they would like to spend more time together – or call it a day and walk away.
Yep, this sounds like our next reality TV obsession.
The new show is based on the ITV Studios format Let Love Rule, which is currently airing its sixth season in the Netherlands.
Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, enthused: ‘This is a fantastic new format which challenges young people to delete the apps and attempt to date face to face, with no distractions.
‘We’re thrilled to be bringing this show to ITV2 viewers who will have front row seats, eavesdropping on our couples as they attempt to find true love.’
Casting is currently underway for The Cabins and applications are live on 12 Yard Productions.
‘We are looking for funny singles with great personalities who are fed up with superficial dating apps, small talk that goes nowhere and endless ghosting,’ the website reads.
The application form states that you must be 18 or over to apply for the show, and be a permanent legal resident that is currently living in the United Kingdom.
The Cabins is coming soon to ITV.
