Rob Kardashian's role on family's Hulu reality show revealed as mom Kris Jenner and sisters film new series
ROB Kardashian's role on the family's upcoming Hulu reality show has beenrevealed, as his mom and sisters film the new series.
The show is expected to premiere on the streaming platform early next year.
As fans have patiently awaited to hear whether the youngest Kardashian sibling would be apart of the series, an insider broke the news that Rob will not be making an appearance.
A source told HollywoodLife, "Rob will NOT be appearing in their Hulu show because he does not want his life or the life of his daughter to be a part of it. Everyone respects this decision."
The 33-year-old shares daughter Dream, five with Blac Chyna.
The insider continued to elaborate on the former reality star's decision and the difficulties he's experienced having his life publicly aired on TV.
“Doing the show with E! caused him nothing but pain and hardships as he had several hospitalizations."
Rob suffers from diabetes and has had numerous hospital visits since his diagnosis in 2015 as he has also battled his weight in recent years.
“[The show] also drive a wedge in between him and Kim [Kardashian] at one point,” the source added pointing out that Rob had “several close friends die” during his time on the show and nearly lost his ex brother-in-law Lamar Odom who “he was so close to.”
In 2015 Lamar was hospitalized after being found unconscious at a brothel in Crystal, Nevada, just as his divorce was wrapping up with Rob's older sister Khloe.
Despite opting out of the family business, the insider explained that Rob is much happier staying out of the limelight.
“Although he would not have what he has without it, Rob is forging his own path now and focusing on himself, his health, and his daughter. Rob is in a great place right now and everyone is really proud of him.
“He has a solid relationship with all of his family. He also has a great relationship with his nieces and nephews. More importantly, Rob is a great father to his daughter and puts her before anything," they concluded.
Last week, the devoted dad posed in a rare photo with his daughter at her Barbie-themed birthday party.
In the sweet photo Rob shared to his Instagram feed, the Kardashian dad held Dream on his shoulders as he stood in his mom Kris Jenner's massive foyer decked out in pink balloons to blend with the Barbie theme.
Rob captioned the photograph: "Barbie party yay," and also re-shared his post to his Instagram story.
Comments came in from fans wishing Dream a happy birthday along with remarks on how adorable the father and daughter pair look.
The father-of-one went all out for the toddler's special day as the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan shared photos from the celebration.
The decor included balloons towered up each side of the grand staircase, while a huge dollhouse was placed in the middle.
While for entertainment the birthday girl did some Barbie decorating, with Dream seen concentrating as she mixed glitter and colorful beads in a bowl at her individual station.
Last year for Rob's only child's birthday, her mother Blac Chyna was left off of the guest list, as the ex couple had been caught up in a custody battle.
She indirectly claimed that Rob nor her seven-year-old son's father Tyga, 30, give her child support.
A month earlier, Kylie Jenner and Rob sued Chyna for battery after alleging she tried to choke him with a phone cord.
New details of the alleged 2016 assault against Rob by then-girlfriend Chyna emerged earlier in 2020 and alleged that she was under the influence of cocaine and attacked him with a six-foot metal pole.
According to documents seen by The Blast, Rob claimed to have “believed that Chyna intended to inflict severe injury on him and feared for his life."
After a years-long court war, the couple now "shares custody" of Dream.
The agreement was reaching in December of 2020.
Us Weekly reported on Monday that Rob and Chyna reached a new agreement "without court intervention," which was filed on December 8 of last year.
According to legal documents obtained by the outlet, the the former pair will share physical custody of Dream based on an alternating weekly schedule.
Last month, Khloe revealed the premiere date for the new series during an appearance on the Ellen show.
Khloe told Ellen the new show is expected to debut on the streaming network at the end of January or early in February.
She shared: "That's the beauty of Hulu. We're streaming, and we get to have a much quicker turnaround than previously. And we're really excited.
"They're here now in the back shooting with us, and we're so happy to be up and rolling again."
