Selling Sunset star Maya Vander reveals she suffered stillbirth at 38 weeks pregnant in 'nightmare' loss

SELLING Sunset star Maya Vander revealed that she suffered a stillbirth at 38 weeks pregnant.

The reality star opened up about the heartbreaking loss on Instagram.

Maya shared the tragic news in a post writing: "Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I had a still birth at 38 weeks. I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics.

"Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone.

"What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagine will happen to me.

"Given I share my pregnancies in the show I knew I’ll have to post about this and avoid the “ when is your due date “ question.

"You will always be in our heart baby Mason 💔💙"

Alongside the post, the Netflix star included a photo of a memory box to remember her late baby boy.

The TV star is also mom to one-year-old daughter Ella Madison and two-year-old son Aiden, who was featured on season two's premiere episode.

Maya had mentioned in the series that she was struggling to get pregnant and had had previous miscarriages.

The 33-year-old prefers to keep her relationship with her husband seemingly private on social media, as she addresses him as “my husband” in her posts.

Fans were first introduced to Maya in season one of Selling Sunset working alongside the rest of the girl-dominated cast at Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles while doubling for Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Miami.

She grew to become a fan-favorite on the show, continuing to appear onscreen throughout all four seasons.

Last year, the TV personality complained that she was side-lined on the reality series in favor of focusing on Chrishell's emotional divorce.

Unlike her co-stars Chrishell Stause and Amanza Smith, she admitted she was glossed over because she "doesn't provide the drama".

The brunette opened up to the Access All Areas show hosted by Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on FUBAR Radio.

She told them about her time on the Netflix hit show: "Last season focused on Chrishell's divorce and you had Amanza also, which is a new girl, so I totally lost I think screen time.

"But I don't have an ego so I'm fine losing screen time. But I think you can show more of me a little bit as well!"

The fourth season premiered on the platform in November, with talks about plotlines for the fifth season already surfacing.

Previously when speaking about the potential fourth season, Maya revealed she didn't know if she would even be included.

She shared: "I don't know if they even want me if they do season four because I don't provide the drama!"

But the top selling agent said she'd be upset if she wasn't asked back.

"Being on the show on Netflix, it's an amazing opportunity so I would be a little bit disappointed.

"Sure, I'm not providing the drama but I think I can add some value to it."
