Stacey Solomon defended by Nick Knowles after viewers accused her of copying his show
Stacey Solomon was sweetly defended by Nick Knowles on Thursday after some viewers claimed that her new series Sort Your Life Out was similar to his Channel 5 show Big House Clear Out.
The Loose Women star's, 32, BBC programme debuted as a pilot last April, before being picked up for a full series, with the first episode airing on November 4.
And despite the majority of viewers left in tears over the "fabulous" first episode, including Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, some show watchers claimed that it had similarities to Nick's, 59, Big House Clear Out.
However, DIY SOS star Nick was quick to hit back at the claims and defend both Stacey and her new series Sort Your Life Out.
Responding to one social media user on Thursday, who claimed: "@StaceySolomon appears to be duplicating @MrNickKnowles and throwing rubbish out. Who copied who?? #sortyourlifeout", Nick insisted there is "plenty of room" for both shows.
He penned in response: "There is plenty of room for more than one show about decluttering – neither of these formats is the first in this space – there have been many shows on other channels for years about decluttering.
"Anything that helps people is a good thing & @StaceySolomon is lovely & kind."
Nick's 159.1K followers were quick to praise him for his "lovely and kind" response.
One person said: "And you are a lovely and kind bloke too Mr Knowles and you are bang on the money with your comments. You have a good heart and so does Stacey."
While a different account added: "National Treasures both of you," followed by a smiling emoji.
It comes after Stacey was overcome with emotion on Friday over the incredible reactions she had from fans to her new show.
In Sort Your Life Out, Stacey, who filmed the show before she gave birth to baby daughter Rose, challenges families to transform their homes in just seven days.
It sees Stacey and her team of experts, organiser Dilly, carpenter Rob and cleaner Iwan, helping families to let go of half their possessions so that they can totally reorganise their house.

During the first episode, the 32 year old introduced viewers to The Paine family – divorced, single mum Steph and her three daughters, whose messy home is in desperate need of an overhaul.
And it wasn't long until down-to-earth Stacey helped the family to declutter their surroundings and move on from some past painful memories, before she candidly discussed some of her own.
