Star Trek Discovery fans in the UK have been eagerly awaiting season four for over a year now. Typically, the show has been available on Netflix in the country, but that is no longer the case. Since the launch of Paramount+ in the USA, the UK’s Netflix no longer has the series available. Here is how to watch the new season.

How to watch Star Trek Discovery season four in the UK?

With the recent news of Star Trek Discovery making the move over to Paramount+ in the USA, over in the UK fans have been confused and upset about how to catch the latest series.

Despite the last-minute change to the usual programming schedule, the show is still premiering its fourth season soon.

In fact, the wait is almost over, as season four will debut on November 26 on Pluto TV in the UK.

This is another streaming service that is available in the country, launched by Viacom.

Before Star Trek fans panic about paying for another subscription service, Pluto TV is the leading free streaming site in the USA.

There are no sign-up fees or monthly subscriptions required in the UK either, with plenty of easily accessible ways to access the platform.

Pluto TV is available to watch on NOW and Roku devices and is also available on Amazon Fire Stick, Android, Apple TV Plus.

Additionally, it is available on Chromecast, iPhone, LG, PlayStation, Samsung TV Plus, and Google Play.

When is Paramount+ coming to the UK?

For fans waiting for the official Paramount+ launch, there may be some time before the streaming site becomes available in the UK.

Paramount has announced that the service will launch in Europe and the UK in 2022.

However, no specific release date has been confirmed, so it could range from the summer all the way up to this time next year.

Of course, for those that can’t wait, the complete series will be available on Pluto TV from November 26 in the UK.

What will season four be about?

At the end of season three, Michael Burnham (played by Sonequa Martin-Green) finally made the rank of Captain.

As such she will be leading the USS Discovery this time around, joined by Saru (Doug Jones), Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp), Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman), and the rest of the crew.

The new season kicks off with the USS Discovery assigned to a new mission after spending months reconnecting the Federation to distant worlds.

The team is now sent to a damaged space station, tasked with bringing it back to order and discovering what went wrong.

The series is set just 10 years before the original 1966 show took place.

As such there have been many cameo appearances over the seasons, including Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and Spock (Ethan Peck).

Fans will have to wait and see who pops up in season four, though there are bound to be numerous references throughout.

Currently, Paramount has not renewed the show for a fifth season.

Star Trek Discovery season four is available to watch now on Paramount+ in the USA. The fourth season will premiere on November 26 on Pluto TV in the UK.
