Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo 'moonlighting as food runner' in hometown
Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo is doing some good during his time off from shooting the hit Netflix series.
Filming of the fourth season of the sci-fi drama has been halted due to the outbreak of coronavirus, so Gaten is moonlighting in a second career whilst back in his hometown in New Jersey.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has secured a second-job as a food runner in the a restaurant where a few of his family members are also employed as well.
The publication reports that the star is also taking safety seriously during his shifts, where he can be seen wearing a face mask and a hat, just incase he may be recognised by any fans whilst working.
Gaten stars as the plucky Dustin in Stranger Things, alongside fellow cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.
As far as news of season four goes, we don’t know much, but it’s been reported that Netflix is keen to kickstart production again in September. Filming was paused earlier this year due to the Covid-19 crisis.
One thing we do know, however, is that all the scripts for the fourth outing are written, so its just a case of getting the cast back in front of the camera now.
Netflix is apparently looking to kickstart filming again from next month onwards, which hopefully means the season will meet its debut date of 2021.
Meanwhile, the programme’s creators the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the final ending for the show is coming into view.
Speaking to Deadline about the show’s future, Matt Duffer explained: ‘We like to look at each season as kind of its own complete story. We do have a pretty large mythology.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Gaten Matarazzo for comment.
