Strictly Come Dancing bosses force professionals to follow strict Covid rules for new series
THE Covid crisis might be easing – but bosses on Strictly Come Dancing are taking no chances.
This year, just like in the last series, the professionals will have to jump through a number of hoops to keep the BBC1 juggernaut on air.
They will all stay at a London hotel in a “bubble” with their fellow pros, before getting as much of the series in the can as possible in case of a new coronavirus outbreak.
The dancers – including new girl Jowita Przystal and returning favourites Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima – will film most of the pre-recorded group numbers in advance.
And sadly there won’t be a big studio audience.
As we told last week, fans will be allowed back into the Elstree studios, but only in small numbers – meaning tickets will be like gold dust.
It’s better than nothing.
