The Morning viewers were left gushing at their TV screens on Tuesday (March 28) as Alison Hammond returned to host for the second day running.

The 48-year-old telly legend replaced This Morning alum Phillip Schofield on Monday (March 27) in a major presenting shake-up.

And Alison was back in the ITV studios on Tuesday – leaving fans all saying the same thing.

Moments into Tuesday’s show, Alison was there to welcome viewers, along with ITV favourite Holly Willoughby – and viewers couldn’t get enough.

Taking to Twitter, one person gushed: “Loving Holly and Alison together on This Morning. The best presenter combination.”

"I would have Alison and Holly do this permanently. Holly looks so much more at ease," gushed someone else.

A third chimed in and said: "Loving Team Alison and Holly today on This Morning."

"Loving Hollie and Alison together," proclaimed another viewer.

On her Instagram page, other fans flooded the comments section with excitement.

“I hope these 2 are here to stay regulars," penned another fan.

A third agreed: "Love Alison she lifts my day. Definitely a better show today with these two ladies."

In Monday's episode, the two ladies had a rather memorable episode – that included Holly falling over in the studio – causing bosses to fear a pant flash.

Then later on in the show, a brave lad called Leanne went topless and got live a breast examination.

The show was inundated with praise for airing the helpful health segment showing women how to check their boobs for signs of breast cancer.

It aimed to encourage women watching at home to check their breasts for lumps and other signs of serious conditions like breast cancer that could go undiagnosed if not spotted.

The segment saw This Morning's resident doctor Dr Sara Kayat examine Kelly's breasts live on-air, showing viewers how they can check themselves at home and keep themselves healthy.
