A learner driver reverses at speed into a parked car before accelerating into a wall during a horrendous lesson.

The instructor gets out the vehicle after the first incident and then yells as the young motorist makes their second blunder in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

The clip shows the learner in the silver car slowly reverse before they rapidly accelerate towards a blue car parked behind.

The driver smashes into the parked vehicle and pushes it back along the road.

They continue to turn, coming to rest at a right angle to the other car and facing the kerb.

The car lurches forward a few inches and comes to a stop.

After a moment of stunned silence, the instructor gets out of the front passenger street and walks around the cars to assess the damage.

But as he approaches the car, the vehicle suddenly accelerates forwards across the pavement and crashes into a wall.

The instructor waves his arms in a windmill motion and yells at his pupil, who gets out to see what has happened.

The footage was shared on Facebook, with one person commenting: ‘Which is why there are professional driving instructors with cars fitted with dual controls.’

A woman wrote: ‘He’s shouting at her for moving the car when he was out of the car. They’d had an accident, why were the keys left in the car with a learner driver who had already flown backwards into another car?’

Another put: ‘So the instructor went to inspect the damage without asking the learner to put the handbrake on and then turn off the engine. Wow.’

And one man added: ‘He must have the awareness and reactions of a slug, or did he not have dual controls fitted?’

But some could not help but laugh at the incident, with one man saying: ‘I’m going to pass you on this occasion, congratulations.

‘However there is room for improvement on your clutch control and just be more careful on your gear selection in future. That being said, you’ve passed, well done.’

Another wrote: ‘Good job they didn’t hit the Ford Transit in the background, the EGR valve would have packed up.’

And one social media user added of the November incident: ‘Not bad will be a good driver in her future.’
