Bloke boasted about ‘drama free’ relationship weeks before wife’s murder

A TikTok star was seen in a viral video of himself and his wife bragging about having a 'drama free' relationship just weeks before he allegedly killed her.

Ali Abulaban, known by his 940,000 followers as JinnKid, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder as well as special-circumstance allegations of multiple killings.

The 29-year-old has been accused of installing a listening device on his five-year-old daughter's tablet but when he heard his wife, Ana Abulaban, 28, speaking to another man, he shot them both, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Deputy district attorney Taren Brast said after the shootings on October 21, Abulaban collected his daughter from school, while still carrying his weapon.

Abulaban allegedly confessed to detectives after his arrest and accused his wife of cheating, but prosecutors claim the man, who was identified as Rayburn Cadenas Barron, 29, was a friend.

Barron was reportedly shot three times before Ana was shot in the head.

Abulaban is also believed to have called his mother and confessed to her.

Since reports emerged of the slayings, videos from the social media star's account have been circulating on TikTok, including ones stating that the pair had a 'drama-fee' relationship.

Users of the social media app have paid tribute to Ana in the hope she gets justice and warned others not victim blame or compare their relationships to ones on social media as they aren't always what they seem.

The video, which reached over 8,000 like on his girlfriends account, was posted in July this year and shows the pair dancing around various rooms in the house – seeming happy together.

The video text says, "When your relationship is drama free" and the post is heartbreakingly captioned, "When your partner is your best friend."

Fans of the pair have since flocked to the comments writing: "Absolutely nothing on social media is like it seems, not a damn thing."

Another said: "Proof you shouldn't believe everything you see on social media. Rest in Peace."

Judge Kimberlee Lagotta ordered Abulaban to be held in jail without bail, according to Sky News.

Reports also say that the charges and special allegations allow prosecutors to pursue the death penalty if Abulaban is convicted – however, it has not been confirmed if they will seek it in this case.
