Fans have been travelling from across the world to visit a chippy after it went viral on TikTok.
Bemused workers at Binley Mega Chippy, in Coventry, realised something was up when diners began showing up from all over the UK and abroad.
Customers have come from France, Portugal and Scotland – while one even went straight there after landing from Australia.
They’ve been drawn there by a catchy music video on TikTok.
The clip was a slideshow of Britain’s best takeaways, naming the chippy first. It has racked up more than half a million views.
People have been queuing out of the doors for the last few days, leaving staff completely baffled.
They can be seen outside the shop singing the theme tune as they wait in line to sample their £4.99 Morbius Meal of fish, chips and mushy peas.
Fencer Josh Perks, 18, made an eight hour round trip from Portsmouth with two pals after seeing the takeaway trending online.
He said: “We just thought it would be a laugh, we wanted to see what the fuss was about.
“It was great fun, there was a bit of a party atmosphere going on. I don’t think the staff there can get their heads around what is really going on.”
