Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to rage over the "demographic disaster" in USA's birth rate levels for the past 50 years and bragged that "I'm doing my part".

The SpaceX CEO shared a graph on his polarising Twitter account, which showed the fertility rate of women in the US had fallen from 3.5 in 1960 to less than 1.5 in 2020.

The graph was shared with a tweet which read: "USA birth rate has been below min sustainable levels for 50 years."

Musk carried on in a thread of tweets about the topic, adding that "the richer someone is, the fewer kids they have."

But claimed: "I am the rare exception."

The Tesla founder told his followers that most of the people he knew had "zero or one kid".

"Past two years have been a demographic disaster," he added in a follow up tweet.

Musk then made a humorous brag about how he was helping the situation.

He wrote: "I mean, I’m doing my part haha."

In other news, Musk's dad has sensationally claimed that his technology mogul son was neglected while living with his mother.

Errol Musk married his ex-wife Maye in 1970 before the pair divorced in 1979 after having three children together, including SpaceX CEO Musk.

He and his siblings, younger brother Kimbal and younger sister Tosca, lived with Maye for the first eight years of Musk's life, years ravaged by poor parenting, according to electromechanical engineer Errol.

In an interview with a psychologist known as Anneke, Errol claimed that school officials had threatened to call social services and the police if he didn’t do “something about the condition of the boys."
