Eugenie showed Meghan Markle birthday support with thoughtful gift after Megxit

Princess Eugenie is said to have shown her support for Meghan Markle amid the Megxit controversy by offering up a thoughtful birthday gift.

The Duchess of Sussex celebrates her birthday on August 4, but during a time of unrest for the Royal Family, it was the younger daughter of Prince Andrew that offered a thoughtful present to the Duchess of Sussex.

Her incredibly thoughtful gift was announced on Instagram, marking Meghan's 40th birthday last year with "40 minutes of mentorship" for women around the world.

The unique gift, which Eugenie announced after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had left the Royal Family, was seen as a show of support.

Speaking on Instagram at the time, Eugenie said: "To celebrate dear Meghan's 40th birthday I'm contributing 40 minutes of mentorship to support women re-entering the workforce.

"In the past two years, tens of millions of women around the world have departed the workforce.

"If you can, please join me and commit 40 minutes to community, service or mentorship."

She also posted some stickers on the story, with one saying "Happy birthday" in rainbow lettering, paired with a party hat-clad character with a party blower too.

The birthday wishes came in support of the Duchess of Sussex's 40×40 global project, which encouraged people around the world to give back 40 minutes of their time to support women going back to work.

Eugenie was one of 40 activists, artists, athletes and world leaders that Meghan asked to participate in the project.

It would appear the request was accepted, with Eugenie reportedly very close with Harry while the Sussexes were still active members of the Royal Family.

Upon departing The Firm, the Sussexes gifted Eugenie and husband Jack Brookshank Frogmore Cottage, which Meghan and Harry moved out of when they headed to the United States, Hello reported.
