Prince William and Kate Middleton are close to celebrating 11 years of marriage but their love affair goes back much further.
By the time the couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, they had a decade of romance behind them.
It was at St Andrews University in Scotland that Kate and William first locked eyes on one another which led to something altogether more than friendship a few months later.
Kate one said: "William wasn't there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn't there from Freshers' Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other, but we did become very close friends from quite early on."
A student fashion show which the now mum-of-three starred in, reportedly swung it for the young prince in early 2002.
Since getting back together after time apart in 2007, Royal fans have watched William and Kate grow stronger and stronger with their Cambridge brood.
The future king once reflected on the break-up saying: "It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up."

Nearly 2,000 guests attended Westminster Abbey to see the marriage of the second in line to the British throne, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Many more well-wishers from around the world have also flocked to London to witness the spectacle and pageantry of the Royal Wedding.

Judi said of a pic of the pair at Wimbledon: "We know they are in love and we know they share a sense of humour, but the body language between William and Kate here takes that combination of existing bonds and raises them to a whole new level.

A year after their wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured across the events of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The most joyful of which sees them celebrating Great Britain's gold medal winning and world record setting performance in the Men's Team Sprint Track Cycling final.

Royal duties also took the pair on a North American Tour in 2014.
William and Kate shared an intimate embrace on Prince Edward Island in Canada taking part in a dragon boat race at Dalvay-by-the-sea.
Royal commentator Brittani Barger said Kate has done well to always take the tours and public engagements of royal life in her stride.
The Deputy Editor of Royal Central told the Daily Star: "She gained many responsibilities as someone who will be a future consort and that's a lot to take on.
"Friends of hers have said she's a natural introvert so big engagements with world leaders like the Bidens, Obamas, Trumps, Trudeaus, etc, she finds challenging.
"But she's done a fantastic job when put in those positions. In the past couple of years, she's really come into her own and we've seen her real passions."
A few days into the Cambridges' 2016 visit to India and Bhutan, they allowed themselves some fun and embarked on a game drive at Kaziranga National Park in Guwahati, India on April 13, 2016.

On April 23, 2018 the couple welcomed their third child Prince Louis, just a few weeks before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding.
The following year William and Kate who are known as the Duke and Duchess of Strathearn in Scotland, headed north to open a museum.
