Isle of Wight revellers brave mud bath for boozy festival sesh
The festival opened its doors today for the four-day party.
Acts including Biffy Clyro, Fat Boy Slim and George Ezra will bellow out their best tunes.
But today comes off the back of heavy rain and thunderstorms that have turned the festival into a mud bath.
That hasn’t bothered festival-goers, though, who were all smiles as they braved the conditions wearing wellies.
In one snap, three people hold crates of cider above their heads to stop the rain coming down on them.
The rest if the weekend will have in store a mixture of sunshine and showers, but further downpour on Sunday.
Other acts taking to the stages will be Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Lily Allen and Bastille.
There will also be Friendly Fires, Keane and Madness.
