Lairy Brits brave the elements for first Friday night back inside pubs and bars
Thirty Brits braved the elements, pushing through extreme wind and rain to meet up with pals for that pint on the first Friday night since lockdown rules were eased.
The incredible lairy scenes revealed joyful drinkers who were excited to be back inside bars, pubs, and restaurants this weekend.
Despite the traditional weather getting the best of the evening, they didn't let it dampen their spirits.
Those looking to party were able to meet friends after months of isolation and weeks of sitting in packed-out beer gardens.
Brits were socialising in city centre venues again into the early hours across England.
Boozers were full in Manchester, Newcastle, and London, as well as the rest of the UK, as people celebrated the return of some normality which they have missed over the past year.
Hugging is also allowed, as long as it is between close friends and family – except Northern Ireland where it is not allowed until May 24, just days away.
The new lockdown rules in England, as part of the Government's Roadmap out of Lockdown, mean that people no longer need to huddle in outdoor designated areas.

They can sit inside as long as they are in groups no larger than six or more from two households – great news with the wet and wild weather Brits are enduring in a washout May.

People are permitted to meet up inside homes of small gatherings, and up to 30 people can meet outdoors in England and Scotland.

While most Brits who chose to head out for a night on the town weren't fazed by the weather, the torrential rain and gusty weather are set to continue across the country.
Landlords are hoping for a busy weekend after the hospitality sector was one of the worst-hit during the pandemic.
And delighted punters were snapped heading to the pubs minutes after clocking off at work.

Emma McClarkin, chief executive of the British Beer & Pub Association, said: “The enthusiasm for the return to pubs means demand is higher.
"But there is still plenty of beer to go round for everyone. Visit your local and enjoy a fresh pint.”
Customers will still need to order, eat and drink while seated and wear a mask when heading to the toilet or not seated – for example, when being taken to a table.
It's the first weekend since November that all Brits can once again mix in indoor settings.
When Brits came out of the second lockdown, almost all areas in the country were plunged into Tier 2 and 3 lockdowns, and banned from meeting indoors.
Only a handful of areas, in Cornwall, the Isle of Wight, and Scilly Isles were allowed to meet inside restaurants and pubs.
Holidays and casual sex is also back on the cards, now people can visit other people's homes and travel abroad.
