Meghan Markle hugs mourner and thanks her for paying respects to the Queen

Meghan Markle has left fans welled up when a video emerged showing her comforting a mourner outside Windsor Caslte.

The Duchess of Sussex joined her husband, Prince Harry, and the Prince and Princess of Wales to thank wellwishers for paying respects to the late Queen, who died on Thursday (September 8).

The two couples viewed the floral tributes that were left outside the royal gates before greeting the crowd on the Long Walk.

They spent 40 minutes speaking to the grieiving members of the public and one young woman was caught on camera hugging Meghan.

Posted on TikTok, Harry is seen talking to the crowd and giving a thumbs up before wife Meghan walks over to have a chat with a group of young women.

Isabelle Charters, who was filming the reaction, showed her friend gasped and whispereed: "Oh my God, hi!"

Meghan walked over and said: "Hi, what's your name?"

She told her she's called "Amelka".

"Amelka?" Meghan replied. "Oh how beautiful! Thank you for being here today, it means so much for the family.

"How long have you been waiting?"

Amelka told Meghan that she's been waiting outside for about two hours.

The Duchess of Sussex looked at her in disbelief, adding: "Oh goodness, well hopefully you will be able to get back home soon.

"I appreciate you being here."

Amelka then asked if she can hug Meghan, who said "of course" and leaned in for a hug.

Isabelle told Meghan: "Oh my God, you are literally so beautiful."

She shared the experience in the captions and said both Harry and Meghan were "absolutely lovely", adding: "It was so beautiful to witness and she is such a beautiful woman inside and out.

"The video cut out at the end, but I had to let Meghan know how beautiful she is.

"Thank you for being so kind to us. We love you Meghan."
