Teacher and mum-of-three jailed for school romps with 17-year-old pupil

A teacher and mum-of-three has been locked up for two years after sexually abusing a 17-year-old pupil on school grounds.

Laura Bucy, 33, from Ohio, US, admitted sexual battery after being rumbled by her ex-husband for her sick crime.

The home economics teacher swapped several raunchy videos with her pupil before they had "full sexual intercourse" in the pantry next to her office at Twinsburg High School, Ohio.

In an online blog before her arrest, the disgraced teacher wrote: “I hang out in a room all day with hormonal teenagers who are learning to control every impulse they have while I attempt to teach them life skills.”

Her vile actions were reported by her ex-husband after Bucy blurted out her crimes to his dad.

She claimed she slept with the schoolboy because he "looked and acted" like her ex-husband.

She drove to his farm in Doylestown, Ohio, and broke down in tears saying she needed to "confess her sins."

Her victim said the messages he exchanged with his teacher "got out of hand."

He added: “I began drinking alone in my room on weekdays.

“I started to isolate myself from others and stopped communication with my family so I could be alone.”

In a victim impact statement read to court, he added: “It felt like you had all the power over me and could change my grade in a moments notice or worse, get me in trouble with the school.”

On top of abusing the schoolboy, Bucy also admitted to letting the schoolboy vape in her office and buying cannabis from another pupil.

The victim told police the relationship started when Bucy “felt very overwhelmed with having three kids to care for, working and attending college.”

Bucy apologised to the victims parents in court claiming she was "very remorseful".

Through tears, she said: "The damage that has occurred for you and your family is so extensive and I am so sorry.”

She added: “I’m so sorry for the pain that I caused the victim, his family, my own family and my colleagues.”

He added they "made a very strong connection" when he helped her clean up the classroom after a lesson.

After Bucy's arrest, the victim told police she stopped him in the school pantry after lunch and started kissing him but he didn't tell anyone because he didn't want to get her into trouble.

She pleaded guilty to sexual battery in June but her sentence was delayed by six months after her lawyers claimed she was suffering from mental illness.

Bucy was sentenced to two years in jail and has been made to sign the sex offenders register. She will be considered for early release after six months.
