This is the terrifying moment a huge explosion erupted at a London Underground station as witnesses run in terror.
Black smoke has been seen billowing for miles after the incident at Elephant and Castle Tube station this afternoon.
Dramatic footage shared to Twitter has now shown the moment a huge fireball spilled out onto the street.
Screams ring out form witnesses watching on the other side of the road as they run to safety.
National Rail have confirmed no trains are stopping at the station as the fire rages.
Delays are expected until approximately 2.30pm.
The London Fire Brigade re-shared the terrifying video, writing: “Early video from the scene of the blaze at railway arches in #ElephantCastle.
“We have 10 fire engines & 70 firefighters attending & have taken nearly fifty 999 calls. Please avoid the area.”
Unconfirmed reports suggest a fire started at the auto repair shop underneath Elephant and Castle station.
“Something just exploded,” one witness tweeted. “No sound but a massive ball of fire on Elephant Road.”
