Three dead including two teen girls and two others fighting for life after car slams into tree in Kingswinford

THREE people including two teenagers have been killed and two others are fighting for life after their car slammed into a tree.

The victims were travelling in a yellow Skoda Fabia with two others when they crashed in Kingswinford, West Mids, last night.

Emergency crews raced to the scene but sadly the two teen girls, both backseat passengers, and driver, aged in his 20s, were declared dead at the scene.

The two others – a teenage boy and girl – are currently in a critical condition in hospital.

West Midlands Police today confirmed they had seen the car moments before the horror smash but did not pursue it.

Sgt Dean Caswell, who is leading the investigation, said: "This is a tragic time for the families of those involved, and we have specially trained officers who will be supporting them through the difficult time ahead.

"The investigation is at a really early stage, and we're trying to establish exactly what happened and why.

"I'd urge anyone who saw the Skoda driving in the area last night, or who may have captured anything on dash-cam footage, to get in touch with us as soon as possible."

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the air ambulance was scrambled to the scene just before 9pm.
