William and Kate get competitive at project for Mental Health Awareness week
Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out hand-in-hand in Wolverhampton in support of Mental Health Awareness Week and projects helping the city’s young people.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stopped off at the centre on Thursday to take a shot at some of the sports, arts, and other recreational activities it provides for children.
Kate even showed off her sporty side and tried her hand at an archery session, but later admitted she had been “terrible,” missing the target.
Prince William then went head-to-head with his wife during a table tennis match, at first egging Kate on, before telling people to “talk amongst themselves" as it could go on for hours.
Kate and William then joined a group of HeadStart ambassadors who help improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
The couple heard about the ways the programme is giving kids the skills they need to address the challenges of modern day life, including resilience.
Kate and William's appearance fit in well with the Mental Health Foundation's Mental Health Awareness Week theme of the role nature can play in improving psychological wellbeing.
It will be released on Friday May 14 and broadcast across the nation, with the likes of David Beckham, Dame Shirley Bassey and Charles Dance joining the Royals.
