Tonight's annual National Television Awards may or may not be presented by comedian Joel Dommett. <\/p>\n

The 38 year old's wife Hannah Cooper is currently expecting their first child together, and while chatting on Hits Radio today, Joel admitted that if she were to go into labour, the star-studded event would be put in the hands of a mystery backup. <\/p>\n

"Hannah is very much ready to give birth!" he declared on air. "She hasn\u2019t given birth as of now so that's great news for me as I'm sure the production team are ready to replace me at any moment. <\/p>\n

"I think I have a stand-in, but they won\u2019t tell me who it is. I assume they\u2019ll be there tonight but that\u2019s the best thing about the NTAs – if it does happen during the ceremony everyone who could replace me is there right in front of me!"<\/p>\n

Despite the nervy 'will she? won't she?' situation going on, Hannah will be apparently chilling out backstage at the NTAs as her husband gets the awards show on the road.<\/p>\n

"At the moment we think she\u2019s just going to come and hang in the dressing room because \u2013 I\u2019ll be honest on Hits Radio \u2013 we couldn\u2019t find a dress," Joel revealed. <\/p>\n

"And she\u2019s so pregnant now \u2013 she\u2019s six-foot tall and essentially with another human being underneath her stomach – and dresses don\u2019t come in that size. You put them on and you look like Mrs Doubtfire."<\/p>\n

As he excitedly awaits the arrival of a screaming little bundle, Joel was able to hit up his famous pals for advice. <\/p>\n

"I feel very scared but in a really nice way \u2014 just very lucky," he shared. "We\u2019ve kept the baby\u2019s sex secret \u2014 it\u2019s practically the only thing we have kept secret so it is nice to have something just for us. But we are really excited to welcome a little human into the world. I\u2019ve had lovely advice. <\/p>\n

"[Waterloo Road actor] Adam Thomas has said you\u2019ll never be ready but you just sort of deal with it, and it\u2019s the best thing you\u2019ll ever do. Holly Willoughby gave me lovely advice, too \u2014 she told me that all you can do is love them."<\/p>\n

This comes after the mum-and-dad-to-be raised the topic of breastmilk on their podcast Never Have I Ever last month.<\/p>\n

"I am a little bit fearful that you're going to make a breastmilk flat white," joked 34 year old Hannah, to which Joel boldly replied: "Yeah… I also don't get this thing where people are like 'uuurgh breast milk, uuurgh!' Like no, give me that, please." <\/p>\n

Laughing, Hannah went on to insist that he didn't really appreciate what he was signing up for.<\/p>\n

"I'm up for trying all this stuff, this is an exciting adventure," the Masked Singer UK presenter argued. "There is stuff coming out of your nipples that a baby can drink. I want to try it."<\/p>\n

The National Television Awards begin at 8pm on ITV.<\/b><\/p>\n
