\u201cBut I think when we saw them together in Los Angeles, I remember it like it was yesterday, the chemistry was there and they\u2019ve always – and they can speak to this more than I can – but that friendship and that chemistry has always been so evident and they just work so well together and you see it on the screen and you see it in real life and that relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n
She went on to say: \u201cWe\u2019ve always hoped that they would stay that way and that they would continue that friendship and it has and it\u2019s grown.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have so much respect for them that they have been able to have this friendship but [\u2026] they\u2019re the only two that have been in that position and they\u2019ve remained really strong and I think that that has helped guide our show in terms of – there hasn\u2019t been a falling out between the two of them, they\u2019ve maintained they know how important that is.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Balfe, who was also on the panel, commented on how she and Heughan had made a pact while working on season one of the show to always have each other\u2019s backs.<\/p>\n \u201cWeirdly, like we\u2019ve never had a falling out. We\u2019ve definitely irked each other,\u201d Balfe said.<\/p>\n Continuing: \u201cI think it was a very conscious decision in the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n She added how it had \u201calways been that way\u201d with the stars continually supporting each other.<\/p>\n Balfe also said how they had \u201csimilar personalities\u201d and a strong work ethic and liked to be \u201cprepared\u201d but also \u201cnot take ourselves too seriously\u201d.<\/p>\n The star concluded: \u201cBut as our lives have gotten more complicated and busy, we may not see each other as much as we used to but that core and that friendship and that base that we have has never changed.\u201d<\/p>\n
