Shirley Ballas has shared her favourite ever Strictly Come Dancing performance ahead of this year’s official launch.<\/p>\n
The 63-year-old Latin dancer said: “I think it would have to be Kelvin Fletcher\u2019s Samba with Oti [Mabuse] in Week One of 2019.<\/p>\n
“I really don\u2019t know how it could be topped! He has this big smile on his face and his bright blue shirt.<\/p>\n
“It was absolutely outstanding and also technically astonishing \u2013 definitely one to remember.”<\/p>\n
The former Emmerdale star went on to be crowned the winner of the BBC competition.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Addressing her biggest challenge with the series, as well as her biggest joy, Shirley shared: “The biggest joy is being a small part in the nation’s favourite show and sharing my knowledge and passion for dance.<\/p>\n “The biggest challenge is when I hear Anton vote differently to Craig and Motsi in the dance-off and then the final say is down to me.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s so heartbreaking having to send anyone home.”<\/p>\n A mix of celebrities are in this year’s line-up, including Angela Rippon, Les Dennis, Bobby Brazier and Nigel Harman.<\/p>\n Shirley said she’s excited to “be back with my beautiful judges and for all the laughs and smiles”.<\/p>\n “I\u2019m also really looking forward to fangirling over Angela Rippon,” she added.<\/p>\n “She announced me during the UK championships many times during my competitive career so her voice brings back so many fond memories.”<\/p>\n The pairings for this year\u2019s series are:<\/strong><\/p>\n Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
