A BARGAIN supermarket with 950 branches is closing yet another store for good.

Lidl has confirmed it will be closing its shop on Kelburn Street in Barrhead, Glasgow.

The retailer will pull down the shutters on the branch in six days' time on September 28.

The closure of the current store will create a "seamless" transition for customers while it will keep all current staff members.

However, all is not lost as Lidl has plans to open another store nearby on the same day (September 28) as the one above closes.

The latest branch will be open from 8am until 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm on Sundays.

The Scottish Sun also reported that a number of other big brands have secured units at the new retail park.

Baynes, B&M, Burger King, Card Factory, Indigo Sun, Osprey Charging Network, Starbucks and The Salvation Army have confirmed that they will be opening.
