<\/p>\nEASTENDERS fans are convinced a major villain is returning to the soap this Christmas.<\/p>\n
Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a cryptic clue which might allude to the return of Dean Wicks, who may be the mystery Christmas corpse according to fans. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
The flash forward episode, which aired in February, gave viewers a few clues about what to expect this Christmas and revealed a few of the Walford locals who will be involved. However, the current episodes are also dropping clues for eagle-eyed soap fans to find.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In Denise\u2019s (Diane Parish) recent storyline, the worried mum stole Ravi Gulati\u2019s (Aaron Thiara) laptop during a dinner party in order to prove to her daughter Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), who he was dating.<\/p>\n
She hoped to find incriminating evidence of his involvement with drugs, but instead she found a video showing that Ravi was the one who killed his father Ranveer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) thinks she is responsible for the murder which happened last year after Ranveer attacked her.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ravi was getting rid of the body for her when he realised Ranveer was still alive, so he finished him off himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n Upon first watch, viewers were too distracted by Denise\u2019s shocking discovery, which ended with Denise confronting Ravi when he later broke into her home and Chelsea breaking up with him. However, some fans rewatched the episode, which they believe contains a major clue about the identity of the Christmas corpse.\u00a0<\/p>\n Earlier in the episode at Chelsea and Ravi\u2019s dinner party, Nugget teases Denise about her \u201cclassic\u201d music taste before she requests for an artist to for the playlist.\u00a0<\/p>\n Denise asks for the singer-songwriter D\u2019Angelo to be added to the evening\u2019s tunes, and fans think the name is a big hint at a possible returning character.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Dean Wicks is portrayed by Matt Di Angelo and was last seen on the soap in 2016. And despite the different spelling, EastEnders fans think this marks his return to the soap, with the former villain getting his comeuppance at Christmas.\u00a0<\/p>\n Taking to social media, one person said: \u201cAnyone else notice when putting music on the playlist Denise requested Di Angelo? The actor who plays Shirley\u2019s son Dean Wicks is Matt Di Angelo, maybe a hint that he is returning?\u201d<\/p>\n Agreeing, another said, \u201cHe\u2019s [Dean] the one who raped Linda and there\u2019s a theory\u2019s that it could be him dead.\u201d<\/p>\n Another fan suggested that Linda (Kellie Bright) will even be the one to do the deed: \u201cMy first theory for the Christmas exit is Dean Wicks. I feel there\u2019s a chance Matt Di Angelo will return before being killed off on Christmas Day\u2026 by Linda.\u201d<\/p>\n However, some soap fans think this storyline is too predictable.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIf the fella on the Vic floor on Christmas Day is Dean Wicks, I will be highly disappointed. A) Because it won\u2019t be a surprise return. And B) What\u2019s the point in bringing him back to be murdered? If they want to kill him off, kill him off screen.\u201d<\/p>\n Others are convinced that Ryan Malloy will be the murder victim at the Vic, with Stacey offing her ex to protect Lily, while some have suggested that a more important Walford resident like Ian Beale will be the one to meet their demise.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe fact that they have been teasing it since February, which is actually the anniversary of the show, suggests a legacy character and that\u2019s why I\u2019ve always said Ian as I believe Adam Woodyatt came back to get closure,\u201d an EastEnders fan suggested.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/newspress-collage-24120163-1695640296527.jpg\")
