<\/p>\nLaurence Fox has hit out at GB News, branding the broadcast “GB joke”, following his axing from the channel in the wake of his vile comments aimed at a female journalist.<\/p>\n
The political activist told Sky News on Wednesday evening he’d discovered he’d been sacked while he was at a police station following his arrest.<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit criminal damage to ULEZ cameras and the police searched his home.<\/p>\n
Speaking outside Croydon Police Station after his release, Fox remarked: “It’s not GB News, it’s GB joke.”<\/p>\n
“I found out about the GB News sacking, in there [the police station].<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Ofcom received almost 9,000 complaints about the Dan Wootton Tonight episode with Fox in which the latter said: “Who would want to shag that?”<\/p>\n He also said: “We’re past the watershed so I can say this. Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman – ever, ever.”\u00a0<\/p>\n Fox made other derogatory remarks about Evans before he issued a public apology to her.<\/p>\n Fox said: “It\u2019s demeaning to her, to Ava, so I\u2019m sorry for demeaning you in that way, however angry I am with you still for doing that, and it demeans me because it\u2019s not representative of who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n A statement from a police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday 4 October officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of conspiring to commit criminal damage to ULEZ cameras and encouraging or assisting offences to be committed.”\u00a0<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Fox-said-vile-remarks-about-Ava-Evans-4994821.jpg?r=1696454169281\")
