{"id":86512,"date":"2023-10-10T16:50:39","date_gmt":"2023-10-10T16:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritytidings.com\/?p=86512"},"modified":"2023-10-10T16:50:39","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T16:50:39","slug":"got-that-sinking-feeling-couples-car-stranded-on-beach-at-sunrise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritytidings.com\/world-news\/got-that-sinking-feeling-couples-car-stranded-on-beach-at-sunrise\/","title":{"rendered":"Got that sinking feeling&#8230; Couple&apos;s car stranded on beach at sunrise"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Got that sinking feeling&#8230; Couple&#8217;s car is surrounded by sea water after it got stuck on the beach when they stopped to watch the sunrise<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The couple travelled to a beach near Southend-on-Sea in Essex on Monday\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A couple had to call the Southend coastguard on Monday after a romantic trip to the beach to watch the sunrise turned into a watery nightmare.<\/p>\n<p>The pair travelled to Shoebury beach, to the east of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, in the early hours of Monday morning, where they parked their car on the slipway down to the sands.<\/p>\n<p>The Southend Coastguard was called at 6.37am after the vehicle became embedded in the sand.<\/p>\n<p>The couple had been attempting to turn their vehicle around in order to drive off the beach, but this only caused a deeper hole which blocked them from driving away.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the tide came in, they called the Coastguard to provide assistance after their car became surrounded by water.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/16\/76387003-12615215-image-m-65_1696952904714.jpg\" height=\"389\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A couple&#8217;s car became stranded after it got embedded in the sand at a beach on the Essex coast<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/16\/76387005-12615215-image-a-66_1696952954357.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The couple had been attempting to turn their vehicle around in order to drive off the beach, but this only caused a deeper hole which blocked them from driving away<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/16\/76387003-12615215-image-m-63_1696952867156.jpg\" height=\"401\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Southend Coastguard was called at 6.37am after the vehicle became embedded in the sand<\/p>\n<p>The team helped the couple remove their possessions from the car before a specialist recovery company was called to pull the car out of the sea.<\/p>\n<p>The car was successfully recovered after it was towed to the high water line and collected by a low loader.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An HM Coastguard Southend spokesperson said: &#8216;The team were tasked at 06:37 to a vehicle stuck in the sand at the West Beach slipway with an incoming tide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;A couple had travelled to the seafront to watch the sunrise in their car from the west beach slipway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;While turning around they had become embedded in the sand, and had tried to drive out leading the car wheels to spin and create a deeper hole than they were already in.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The team assisted the couple with removing all possessions from the vehicle before it became surrounded by water.
