Holly Willoughby announced her departure from ITV\u2019s This Morning in a statement released to her 8.4 million followers on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
Via Instagram, the 42-year-old said it had been “an honour” to be part of the show for 14 years, but explained that she made the decision “for me and my family”.<\/p>\n
Holly also took the time to thank fans of the show for their \u201cloyalty\u201d and \u201csupport\u201d during her lengthy tenure.<\/p>\n
In her emotional goodbye, she wrote: \u201cThank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.<\/p>\n
“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Alison Hammond, 48, was one of the first stars to pay tribute to Holly, commenting on her statement: \u201cThis is a very sad day! Love you.”<\/p>\n Regular presenter Dermot O\u2019Leary also added: \u201cNothing but love and respect for you and yours. X\u201d<\/p>\n Josie Gibson also paid tribute: \u201cYou’ve made me laugh until my cheeks ache sharing the sofa with you. We are sending you so much love HW.\u201d<\/p>\n Craig Doyle also joined in writing: \u201cWe are so supportive of you and we love you to bits, we just wish it didn\u2019t end this way. It’s a sad day for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n Highlighting the tough time she\u2019s gone through, Carol Vorderman also left a comment which read: \u201cWishing you and your family peace and strength in what must be a very difficult time after the news of last week Holly x from my time on TM, I know that the team will miss you very much. Take care.\u201d<\/p>\n And chef Clodagh McKenna wrote: \u201cYour star will continue to shine everywhere you go. You have given us all so much love and light, in front and behind the cameras. I am so grateful for everything you have given me\u2026 I love you so much darling beautiful Holly, the sunshine of our days \u201d<\/p>\n
