IDF releases video showing airstrikes on Hezbollah in the border area with Lebanon<\/h3>\n

This is the stunning moment Israel’s army completely obliterates military targets of Hezbollah with missiles near the border of Lebanon amid fears of a much bigger conflict erupting across the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) took to X (formerly Twitter) to say one of the many targets hit in the past 24 hours was a military observation post in the northern town of Rosh Hanikra.<\/p>\n

One Israeli tank successfully took out two anti-tank-guided missiles in southern Lebanon in anticipation of a possible attack.<\/p>\n

Another was a drone strike targeted towards a terror cell in the Malkia area in Israel toward the highly contentious border.<\/p>\n

The latest round of missile strikes were in response to shooting incidents in Israel during the previous 24 hours, according to the IDF.<\/p>\n

Tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border have surged over recent days following the ongoing fighting that has escalated in the wake of the brutal Hamas attack that has killed some 1,400 Israelis.<\/p>\n

There have also been numerous reports of attacks and rockets fired by Hezbollah – which functions as a proxy of Iran and its largest benefactor – toward northern Israel from the north of Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Last week, members of the Iran-backed terror group fired missiles and drones into Israel, sparking fears a wider war could skyrocket.<\/p>\n

The IDF said Israel returned fire, striking a Hezbollah observation post, with its forces also killing “a number of terrorists” who tried to enter the country from Lebanon.<\/p>\n

The latest worrying escalation in the Israel-Hamas conflict comes with US president Joe Biden becoming increasingly concerned about Hezbollah getting directly involved.<\/p>\n

Hezbollah has said it is standing with Hamas, triggering fears the Iranian-backed could make a big move in the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n

The US has reacted swiftly, sending two aircraft carriers – the USS Gerald Ford and the USS Dwight Eisenhower – to the region.<\/p>\n

This comes with reports Biden has “privately” given his backing to Israel over plans to invade Gaza and “crush Hamas” when he visited the country earlier this week.<\/p>\n
