LOVE Island's Sammy Root raised eyebrows as he cosied up with a co-star at a Halloween reunion party… and it wasn't Jess Harding. <\/p>\n

The winner of this year's show met up with the rest of the islanders for a Halloween bash but spent most of the gathering with Abi Moores.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

He was spotted dancing with the flight attendant on two separate occasions – looking shifty each time the cameras focused on him.<\/p>\n

Sammy, who split from Jess shortly after they won the show, was dressed as a toy soldier.<\/p>\n

He wore a black tank top with green face paint and dog tags. <\/p>\n

Abi was dressed as Freddy Krueger for the night in a stripy red and green jumper and glove made of knives. <\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with The Sun,\u00a0Sammy\u00a0has spoken emotionally about his "confusing" break up for the first time.<\/p>\n

"We had a lot of fun in the villa\u00a0and we really did fall for each other,\u201d said Sammy.<\/p>\n

"I think it's just a case of when you get out life is very, very different.<\/p>\n

"It can be a bit of a struggle getting used to it and having a relationship at the same time.<\/p>\n

"The relationship for me, it was going in a nice place and I\u00a0would have seen it going on for longer.<\/p>\n

"It felt like it was going alright, but at the same time, you never know how someone else is feeling.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn't actually really say too much on the matter.<\/p>\n

"It was just one of those things where it just felt like it just was a bit much to be sort of looking after as well as this new life.<\/p>\n

"It's hard for me to even comment on it because it was just like it\u00a0was a bit of a confusing one, but at the same time, but yeah, we're still on good terms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jess told him it was over by phone\u00a0– choosing not to wait for a face to face conversation before making the news public earlier this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sammy was left stunned when news of their\u00a0split leaked online\u00a0while Jess was partying in Ibiza with pals.<\/p>\n

He faced a tough time in the aftermath as he struggled with heartbreak in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

After his split from Jess he was briefly linked to Love Island alumni Faye Winter. <\/p>\n

The pair looked very friendly at the Pride of Britain awards, where they were seen arm in arm.<\/p>\n

However, a rep for Love Island 2021 star Faye insisted: "She is friends with Jess and Sammy. Nothing was going on here other than them saying goodbye when leaving."<\/p>\n
