MANCHESTER UNITED boss Erik ten Hag is now SECOND favourite for the axe.<\/strong><\/p>\n But after the brutality of last season, there has been a surprising show of solidarity from Premier League owners so far this term.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This weekend marks the 11th round of games in the top flight, the point at which last season a fourth manager of the campaign \u2014 Aston Villa\u2019s Steven Gerrard \u2014 was given the boot.<\/p>\n Scott Parker, Thomas Tuchel and Bruno Lage had all already been handed their P45s by Bournemouth, Chelsea and Wolves respectively.<\/p>\n But just over a quarter of the way into the 2023-24 season, not one manager has been axed \u2014 although Julen Lopetegui did leave Wolves days before the campaign.<\/p>\n That is not to say owners and decision-makers have had a personality transplant, but lessons may well have been learned from the record 14 dismissals last season.<\/p>\nREAD MORE ON FOOTBALL<\/h2>\n
