CHELSEA legend Florent Malouda has claimed he does not recognise his former club under Todd Boehly.

And the former winger also urged Mauricio Pochettino to stop talking about the "project" he is undertaking at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have spent more than £1billion on transfers since American businessman Boehly, 50, took over from Roman Abramovich last year.

But following Pochettino's arrival in the summer, they remain an inconsistent team.

Chelsea have won just four of 12 Premier League games so far this season.

And while they showed signs of life before the international break with a 4-1 win at Tottenham and a thrilling 4-4 draw with Manchester City, Malouda has still criticised the club.

He said: "I don’t really recognise them, except for the colour of the shirt.

"I think the club is using too many key words about the project or whatever.

"It takes time to build anything of value but since the new ownership, I don’t see any stability from the management."

Malouda won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2010.

FREE BETS – BEST BETTING OFFERS AND BONUSES NEW CUSTOMERS

He also lifted the FA Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2012.

But his crowning moment at Stamford Bridge came at the end of the 2011/12 campaign when he helped the Blues beat Bayern Munich on penalties to clinch their first Champions League.

Malouda, who hung up his boots in 2018, spent six years at Chelsea, scoring 45 goals and providing 41 assists in 229 games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea return from the international break on Saturday when they travel to Newcastle.

It begins a tough set of fixtures for Pochettino's men as they also prepare to face Brighton and Manchester United.

</picture>CASH TRAP
