BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent failed to hold back her disbelief as she labelled her colleague "unfair".

The 52-year-old was back on the famous red sofa alongside her co-host Jon Kay for Tuesday's instalment of the popular news programme. As the presenters discussed the latest news headlines, they also talked about the 40th anniversary of Now That's What I Call Music.

The iconic album was first released in 1983 and features an array of musical talents. But as the presenters reminisced over some of the greatest music classics, Jon told Sally what their college Matt Taylor was up to.

After video footage was played of Now through the years, Jon said: "Now if that sparks some memories, we love to hear from you about your first Now That's What I Call Music album." Turning to Sally, he then said: "Matt's been in the loft, he sent his mum in the loft, to look at his old ones."

Surprised by his admission, Sally screeched: "He sent his mum in the loft!" She then added: "That seems a little unfair! Could he not go in his own loft?"

Jon replied: "I think he kept them at home. In her house!"

As the presenters giggled away, Sally then said: "He's gone back to that era where your mum did everything for you. Can you just go in the loft!"

Meanwhile, Jon joked that Matt had gone back to 1983. The news anchor then went on to read out some of the songs that featured on the first-ever album.
