Tom Hanks proved he is ever the gentleman when he greeted Liverpool airport staff on Wednesday with a warm handshake after stepping off his private jet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Tony Award-winning actor, 67, looked dapper as he made his way onto the tarmac following his latest trip on the ozone-burning jet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tom carried a coat over one arm as he left the plane, but the chilly Liverpudlian weather soon got the better of him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actor was surrounded by his entourage, men in hi-vis jackets, and also a man in a suit, presumably a senior member of staff.<\/p>\n
He was in Liverpool for his show ‘An Evening with Tom Hanks’ which took place at Liverpool Empire Theatre.<\/p>\n

The Tony Award-winning actor, 67, looked dapper in a long, thick grey coat, a green jumper, and his trademark pair of glasses<\/p>\n

He was wearing just the jumper when he exited his plane, carrying his coat over his arm, but the Liverpudlian weather was too much for him<\/p>\n
It is in support of his debut novel The Making Of Another Motion Picture Masterpiece.<\/p>\n
The novel is a wildly ambitious story of the making of a colossal, star-studded, multimillion-dollar superhero action film, and the humble comic book that inspired it all.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Exploring why he wanted to capture the changes in America and American culture over the past 80 years, Tom will share the inspiration behind his colourful cast of characters.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tom will take the audience behind the scenes and offering a glimpse into how a story becomes a finished film and also touch on how he drew on his own career in Hollywood to write the book.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Each person who attends the event will receive a free copy of the novel which has an RRP of \u00a322.<\/p>\n
Comedian and author Richard Osman describes the evening as ‘affectionate and endlessly entertaining’.<\/p>\n
Tom Hanks has a few days until he must be in London for his second and final show.\u00a0<\/p>\n
An Evening With Tom Hanks will enjoy its second and final show on 3 December at the Prince Edward Theatre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tom stars in World War II miniseries Masters Of The Air which airs in January.<\/p>\n It is based on the 2007 book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller and follows the actions of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces.<\/p>\n Also appearing in the series is Austin Butler, whom Tom co-starred with in 2022’s musical biopic Elvis.<\/p>\n Austin played the titular character and Tom played his manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n
