Josie Gibson narrowly escaped being eliminated from the I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! camp during the show's fourth live elimination, as she was revealed to be 'at risk' of leaving.

The ITV presenter, 38, was told by hosts Ant and Dec that it 'might be' her who was leaving, before they revealed it was actually Nick Pickard's time to say his goodbyes.

Many viewers were left shocked that Josie, who was favourite to win by bookmakers last week, was in the bottom two out of the camp.

One fan even tweeted: "How was Josie in the bottom two? I was just thinking about how it’s going to be her and Sam in the final two. She’s one of the most entertaining people in there! #ImACeleb."

While another echoed the thought as they shared to X, formerly Twitter, to ask 'why' This Morning presenter Josie was in the bottom two.

Despite the close call, Hollyoaks star Nick was the fourth star to leave the camp – saying "I love you guys" to his fellow campmates as he said goodbye and hugged them.

Josie was previously the favourite to win by bookmakers but was overtaken by Sam Thompson last week, according to odds from Ladbrokes.

Made In Chelsea star Sam remains top to win with 10/11 odds, as Tony Bellew is predicted to fall as the runner-up. However, Josie is still being predicted to be in the final as the runner-up – making it a surprise that she was at risk during Thursday's episode.

When she does depart from the show, Josie will be greeted by her five-year-old son Reggie, who flew to Australia from the UK and is currently waiting Down Under for his mum.

Reggie took the trip with Josie's best friend Mia Romey, who said that the little one will be 'really proud' when he is reunited with the TV star.

She said upon arrival to Brisbane airport: "Josie’s clearly missing Reg and that came across after her last trial with Danielle.

"She was talking about him and being a single mum, doing it on her own, and I know she wants Reg to see how strong she is. He’s going to be really proud of her at the end."

"We’ve been best friends for 19 years. So I saw her the whole way through Big Brother and now she’s killing it, I couldn’t be prouder of her. She’s got the whole of Bristol behind her," she added.

Rooting for her pal to take the crown, Mia concluded: "We’re here to bring the Queen home. There’s no doubt she’s going to be Queen of the Jungle."

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
