Renowned for his displays of vigour including riding shirtless on horseback, Vladimir Putin has now been pictured with rippling biceps in a new \u00a340 calendar.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Russian despot is depicted with\u00a0bulging veins in a black ‘Z’ T-shirt that has the national flag stitched onto the sleeve on the cover of the 2024 veterans’ calendar.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The calendar, released by a support group for FSB veterans, also depicts Russian special forces, backed by drones and a helicopter, attacking the US Capitol building in Washington for the month November.<\/p>\n
It also attempts to show Russian soldiers as protectors, with various illustrations depicting Putin’s men comforting women, children and pets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The recommended retail price for the calendar, which is designed by Moscow\u00a0illustrator Tatanya Kazantseva, is \u00a340 (4,500 rubles) but is on sale at some retailers for \u00a38.70 (986 rubles).<\/p>\n

For July a modern special forces soldier is depicted firing his gun while behind him a WWII soldier is seen firing a pistol while carrying the Soviet Union flag (left).\u00a0For September, a modern Russian soldier is flanked by a medieval knight holding a sword and Tsar Peter the Great (right).\u00a0<\/p>\n
