I had a glow-up when I lost 75 lbs – people say I’m ‘lucky’ to have my body, they don’t know the half of it | The Sun
A WEIGHT loss champion has taken a swipe at people who say she is lucky to have her body.
Good fortune had nothing to do with her glow-up she said firmly.
She said they had no idea what they were saying with such ill-informed statements.
Losing 75 pounds was actually a testament to Laura Ooe's (@It’sMeLaura) focus and sheer determination.
This lady has 235,000 followers on her TikTok, where her remit is all about “workout plans and my secrets for fast weight loss.”
In her post, she showed off her new shape, and it was a stunning transformation.
She looked a completely different shape to her pre-weight self.
Laura was right to be proud of her achievement.
But she wanted to be given due credit from others, and not for them to assume it was an easy journey.
“You are so lucky that you have this body," was a comment she has often endured.

Feisty Laura inevitably responded with an incredulous: “Lucky? There is so much more than you can see."
Her weight loss success was down to months of dedication and discipline and she was enjoying her new slimmed-down version.
“I’m the healthiest I've ever been," she said.
Writing on Healio, Carolynn Francavilla Brown MD said there were other benefits to shedding the pounds.
"Losing weight can improve physical health, which can boost self-esteem and overall well-being," she wrote.
"This can lead to a positive cycle of improved self-esteem, increased motivation, and continued weight loss."
It has certainly given Laura a spring in her step.
Her post went viral with 898,000 likes and thousands of comments.
Commenters were in awe.
“I know they don’t know what it means to me but I hate hearing the word ‘lucky’. I worked for this body, I cried for it, I damn near died for it," was one heartfelt response.
Admiration came from another fan: “Dude, your dedication and consistency are unmatched. Good work.”
