TOWIE’s Pete Wicks opens up on intimate waxing with I’m A Celeb’s Sam Thompson
TOWIE hunk Pete Wicks proved his friendship with I’m A Celebrity’s Sam Thompson as he opened up about his awkward intimate wax with Made In Chelsea hunk.
On Monday (November 27), his best friend joined Tyler West on Kiss FM as he discussed his pal’s first week on the ITV reality show. But it didn’t take long before the show went off the rails when the 35-year-old was asked how close the pair have grown over the years.
It was at this point that the TV star shared what has to be their most embarrassing story to date. He told the host: “I took Sam for a waxing, and I had to hold a piece of his anatomy because it had shrivelled up so that she could wax it.
“It was a real struggle just between the index finger and thumb because I just had to pull it up and stretch it out so that the wax could be applied.” Tyler couldn’t help but ask: “How long did this go on for?” to which Pete chuckled: “There wasn’t much to wax mate, I'll be honest with you. It didn’t go on for too long.”
As Tyler struggled not to laugh during his take, Pete insisted: “This was recorded and there is video evidence" before he added: “I don’t know two mates that are closer than that.” Later on in the interview, Tyler asked Pete to reveal something that he’s never told his pal.
Despite the show derailing during his hilarious waxing tale, the ITVBe star went on to shower his friend with praise. He gushed: “Despite the fact that he looks at me like his dad, I actually look up to Sam.
“And I've never told him that, because he’s one of the happiest, most genuine people I know. And I love that about him.
“I would never tell him that because there’d be tears and he’d never let me live it down, but that is the God’s honest truth. I think he’s a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful human being, and I wish I was more like him.”
It was at this point that the former Strictly star asked him if he was crying to which Pete confessed: “I’m just really emotional” as he pretended to wipe a tear away from his cheek. The dynamic duo first became friends when they appeared on the reality dating show Celebs Go Dating back in 2018.
After striking up an unlikely friendship, the pair have gone from strength to strength. The pair have gone on to launch their own podcast and TV show together as well as pulling various pranks on each other online.
