The theme park you’ve never heard of on every list of the best in Europe
A theme park you have probably never heard of is one of the best in Europe and it features an incredible 17 rollercoasters.
Energylandia is just a few miles from popular city break destination Kraków and despite perhaps not being a familiar name for Brits, the attraction-heavy venue is regularly top rated.
Among the thrill rides on offer is the rollercoaster Hyperion which reaches speeds of over 88mph and takes riders to a height of 253 feet above the earth, almost 40 feet higher than the Big One in Blackpool.
The ride is the longest, fastest and tallest in Poland and scooped the European Top New Attraction award at the Parksmania Awards in 2018.
With flights from the UK to Kraków hovering around an incredible £40, before additions, this Polish hidden gem may become the go-to destination for theme park lovers in the UK.

Theme park blog reviewer CupCakes and Coasters described Hyperion as a “kickass coaster for sure”.
She wrote of the first time riding the coaster that “Despite the freezing weather conditions, we ran around time and time again for a nostril-hair-freezing front row ride just to take in that world-beating first drop and insane sense of speed and airtime.”
Adding that she returned a second time to the park, the thrill-seeker noted: “Those dramatic September dusk rides on this coaster made me shake my head in disappointment at myself for doubting how utterly fantastic a coaster it is.”
