I tried and tested 6 Primark perfumes to see if they smell like their high-end swaps – the £4.50 buy you can’t miss | The Sun
A MONEY-saving guru has delighted followers by revealing her top six Primark perfume dupes for pricey designer fragrances.
Gemma Bird is a thrifty influencer who regularly shares economical tips with her 401k followers on her Instagram account @MoneyMumOfficial.
And in a recent video, she told viewers she was going to help them “save money on perfume”, by picking out her favourite aromatic dupes on offer in Primark.
Her first pick was the high-street store’s Powder Blush eau de toilette, which is a fab dupe for Prada’s Candy.
Not only does Primark’s come in an very similar pretty pink bottle – it also costs just £4.50, or £55.50 less than Prada’s version.
Both fragrances are uber-feminine with floral top notes, and are sure to keep you smelling like a spring day even though the winter months.

Her second shout out went to Primark’s Wild Passion eau de toilet, which according to Gemma is a dead ringer for Victoria’s Secret’s Bombshell fragrance.
The high-street one is £54 cheaper than the lingerie giant’s £59.99 offering, and is a gourmand offering, meaning it has notes of vanilla that smell good enough to eat.
The money-saving maestro’s third recommendation is Opal Crush, which she says is incredibly similar to Dolce and Gabbana’s L’Imperatrice.
D&G’s version costs £32, making Primark’s £4.50 offering around £27.59 cheaper, and both are great options for people after fresh, floral scents.

Her fourth selection is Midnight Haze, which Gemma reckons smells just like Jo Malone’s £82 English Pear and Freesia.
Primark’s is a whopping £77.50 cheaper, and has similar musky and woody notes for those after something a little more grown-up.
The thrifty influencer’s fifth pick is Primark’s Soft Rose eau de parfum, which comes in at just £6.
It’s apparently an incredibly similar aroma to Chloé’s eau de parfum, and is a similar floral, chypre style.
Gemma’s final pick is Primark’s £6 Peach Bouquet, which apparently is a dead ringer for Jean Paul Gaultier’s £79.50 Scandal.
That’s a whopping saving of £73.50, for a scent that Gemma reckons smells really similar.
Her handy clip racked up more than 30k likes, with viewers flocking to the comments to share their love for the economical alternatives.
“Omg yessss you have my fave there also and honestly it’s lasted me all night,” one gushed.
And while cheaper perfumes can sometimes wear off a but quicker, one nifty influencer has come up with a handy way to get the most out of your bargain buy.
