McDonald’s is slashing the price of a popular menu item by £3 – but you’ll have to be quick

It’s a Monday to remember as McDonald’s UK has slashed the price of one popular menu item starting today.

On Monday December 4, fans of the British mega fast food chain can get their hands on Chicken McNuggets at a whopping discount marked at less than half the original price.

For one day only, the popular six McChicken nuggets serving has been slashed from £4.39 down to £1.39.

The special festive-inspired deal is exclusive to customers via the McDonald’s App only, and can be redeemed via the ‘Offers’ section of the app.

By opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards you can also earn points when purchasing this deal.

The loyalty scheme means for every penny spent, you’ll win one a total of one Rewards point.

For this week’s offer, earn 139 points when picking up six Chicken McNuggets.

And with every milestone you hit, there are even more prizes and treats in store.

For example, with 1,500 Rewards points, get your hands on a small Fries, a Hash Brown, a regular Cold Soft Drink or a Side Salad – all for free.

With 2,500 points, you’ll earn a Double Cheeseburger, Vegetable Deluxe or even an Apple Pie.

At 4,000 points you’re in with the major leagues, where you can choose between menu favourites like six Chicken McNuggets, or burgers like a Big Mac or a Filet-O-Fish.

Finally, with the 5,500 points, you’ll be rewarded with a Mighty McMuffin, a McSpicy, a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese or a McCrispy.

Customers can also donate the cash equivalent of their points to various charities including BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

All deals are exclusively available on the McDonald’s App via Google Play or the Apple App Store, by signing up and opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The deals are for a one-time use only at particpating restaurants and delivery fees will apply.

McDonald’s breakfast is available from 5am-11am, and McDonald’s lunchtime menu is available from 11am daily.
