Ralf Little shares an update on Death in Paradise
Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise have fumed at the BBC for announcing another spin-off series.
Fans of the Caribbean-based comedy-drama are set to be treated to an Australian version of the series titled Return to Paradise.
Death in Paradise sees actor Ralf Little play DI Neville Parker and Beyond Paradise saw the return of Kris Marshall as Humphrey Goodman.
Return to Paradise will have a female officer in the leading role and will be set on an entirely new continent and set in Dolphin Cove, Australia.
Casting for the role has not yet been confirmed, but details of the storyline see Australian ex-pat Mackenzie Clarke reluctantly head back to her home town despite forging a career in London’s Met Police.

Despite the series adding more storylines to the other two series, fans weren’t too pleased to hear of the addition.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user fumed: “Noooo! Already have beyond paradise!!
“Why add another spin-off to Death in Paradise!! Let other fresh ideas get the funding… no need.
Another added: “Don’t overkill same drama making too many spin-offs!!”
A third noted: “Don’t dilute the brand,” whilst a fourth penned: “How many more spin-offs? it is making me dizzy!”

Return to Paradise hasn’t yet begun filming as a start date is set for next year.
After announcing the news, the BBC’s Head of Programme Acquisition, Sue Deeks defended the decision.
“Everything we all love about Death in Paradise – the humour, the beautiful scenery, the likeable characters, the ingenious plots – now in a fabulous Australian setting.
“I cannot wait for BBC viewers to be introduced to Detective Mack and the good (and not so good!) folk of Dolphin Cove. What a treat we have in store!”
Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
