Gogglebox fans disgusted as Giles makes dirty scissoring comment to wife Mary

Gogglebox fans were left aghast when Giles and Mary made a rude series of jokes just seconds into the show.

The pair opened the newest episode of the hit Channel 4 show on Friday (September 22), when they made the lewd comments.

At the beginning of the show, Giles was berating Mary for cutting up her sandwiches using a pair of scissors.

Whilst trying to defend herself, Mary spilt the contents of her meaty sandwich, to which Giles was thrown into a frenzy.

Mary was quick to jump to her own defence, saying to her husband: "I'm not telling you to eat it, it's how I want to eat it!"

Giles then proceeded to try and clean his wife up by sweeping the fallen contents of the sandwich off her dress, whilst eating a stray bit of meat.

As he tried to help Mary, he said: "I'm not going to hit you. Now it's fallen onto your lap- ooh, there's a bit of meat there, Mary".

After helping her to clean herself up, Giles pleaded with Mary not to continue cutting up her food.

"That was a terrible decision to scissor that sandwich," he said – which left Mary snickering as she picked up on the innuendo.

"But they're so much easier to eat like this!" she quipped back.

Giles quickly interjected to stop Mary in her tracks: "Please don't do any more scissoring, Mary!"

Fans of the show were left both in stitches and in disgust as they watched the rude encounter between the two.

Several viewers immediately took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the pair, with many in disbelief Giles was so lewd.

One user wrote: "Cutting up sandwiches with a pair of scissors?!" – seemingly unable to fathom Mary's actions.

Another viewer commented: "Why on Earth is she cutting sandwiches with scissors?!!" followed by a series of unimpressed emojis.

Whilst a third looked on in horror, saying: "I'm surprised Giles didn't get a slap for that!".

A fourth said: "The thought of Mary scissoring…" which were followed by a embarrassed emoji
