MAFS star calls police on new wife who cut up clothes and smashed watches
Married At First Sight star Terence Edwards called the police on his new wife Porscha Pernnelle following a huge row where he claimed she “cut up his clothes” and “smashed two of his designer watches”.
Viewers watched the newly wedded couple officially tie the knot on last night’s episode, Monday 25 September, with MailOnline claiming that the couple experienced major drama soon after moving in together.
The drama kicked off after a heated Commitment Ceremony where Terrence made the decision to leave the show. After finding the apartment had been ransacked, Terrence called the police on his new wife and Porscha was then asked questions by authorities about the broken items found in their shared flat.
The Sun claimed that there was “no evidence found” as to who damaged the clothing.
Channel 4 said they replaced the groom's belongings, with a Channel 4 spokesperson telling the publication: “Some clothing was damaged on location but the contributor had the items replaced or was reimbursed by production.”
The couple’s relationship seemed rocky from the get-go as Porscha and Terence appeared to have completely different lifestyles. The bride doesn’t drink and has a strict 11 bedtime, while her groom works a youth worker and DJ.
During the show, Terence explained that he is “a party boy” and was hoping his future wife would “match” his energy. Porscha said she was “drinking a lot” before she stopped entirely and dedicated her life “to Christ.”
“She’s sleeping by 11pm,” Terence said, after awkwardly offering his wife a drink she hastily declined. “I’m not sure this is going to work.” Porscha also left fans unimpressed when she explained she would “block” a date if they “suggested we split the bill” – and that they’d never hear from her again.
One fan joked on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Porscha just needs to say I don’t want a job”, while another branded her “awful” and called on the mum of three to “reconsider” how she views men.
Others just questioned the experts’ decision to match her with Terence, calling the choice “a recipe for pure entertainment and chaos” and describing the pair as “obviously totally incompatible.”
It is not all doom and gloom on the latest series as viewers have labelled Shona Manderson and Brad Skelly "the perfect match" with “instant chemistry" after they tied the knot.
