Helen George on ‘pressure’ of Call The Midwife Christmas special

Call the Midwife star Helen George has been spotted leaving her co-star and friend’s house a couple of months after she called time on her relationship with estranged partner and former on-screen beau Jack Ashton.

The actress, who plays fan favourite Trixie Franklin on the BBC drama, was seen leaving pal Olly Rix’s house in West London with her dog Charlie this morning.

Earlier this year, she announced that she had split from her actor partner Jack after seven years together.

During the same period, Olly announced he had separated from his girlfriend Natasha Fagri.

A source told The Sun: “It’s been a tricky year for both Helen and Olly. They have been spending a lot of time together on set, walking their dogs together and chatting a lot.

Speaking about the pair’s friendship, the source continued: “They both have respect for each other as actors and they are supportive of each other and dedicated to their roles on the drama. The changes in their relationships have caused a lot of upheaval.”

Helen previously confirmed her separation from Jack to the Mirror, telling the publication: “Some months ago, we separated.

“Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”

The former couple share two young daughters together.

Helen and Jack first met on set when he starred as Tom Hereward in Call the Midwife.

They welcomed their first daughter Wren in 2017 and Lark in November 2021.

However, on Call the Midwife her character Trixie is happily married to Matthew Aylward, played by Olly Rix.

In the last series, she tied the knot with Matthew and then attempted to navigate life looking after baby Jonathan.
