Holly Willoughbys poignant final message to This Morning viewers after quitting
Holly Willoughby quits ITV’s This Morning after 14 years
Holly Willoughby announced her departure from ITV’s This Morning in a statement released to her 8.4 million followers on Tuesday evening.
Via Instagram, the 42-year-old said it had been “an honour” to be part of the show for 14 years, but explained that she made the decision “for me and my family”.
Holly also took the time to thank fans of the show for their “loyalty” and “support” during her lengthy tenure.
In her emotional goodbye, she wrote: “Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.
“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.”

She continued: ”Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go.
“Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much.”
Her exit comes after a difficult year which has seen Holly have to deal with the backlash following the queue drama at the Queen’s lying-in-state, Phillip Schofield’s exit from the show and more recently, an alleged kidnap plot against her.
