I made my Home Goods kitchen hand towels into festive decorations – it takes 2 minutes & is so cute for the holidays | The Sun

A HOLIDAY lover has found a way to turn her hand towels into a creative – and cheerful – decoration.

The fast and easy trick already had plenty of social media users wanting to turn their own homes into a holiday wonderland.

"I just posted this bow on my Instagram story and said that this was your sign to make your hand towels into a bow shape and then people asked me for a tutorial so I'm going to give you one," said Brieana Banks (@brieanabanks).

To begin the bow project, she explained how you would need two hand towels.

She folded one of her gingerbread man Home Goods towels twice in order to make it as skinny as possible lengthwise.

Brieana then took out a thicker second towel, and folded it over three times before folding it one last time across.

Next came scrunch time as she made creases in the front.

And if you're crunched for time don't worry – the trick only takes two minutes.

"Sometimes you might need to shorten them on each side to kind of give you more of a bow length."

The goal was to make it as tight as possible.

As she explained, this would prevent a droopy looking bow.

Brieana summarized her first steps again.

"I've basically just folded it on both sides like I showed you before and going for those three creases."

Just remember to keep on scrunching.

The festive DIYer then wrapped the skinny towel around the other towel, giving a little bit extra in the back.

The bow towel was now almost ready for its close-up as she brought it into the kitchen and attempted to put both sides of the towel behind the handle.

You might have to shove it in there since it's a bit on the thicker side.

Brieana just kept playing and scrunching until she got the decorative bow look she desired.

She also moved the middle center piece until the bows were equal on each side.

Her pro-tip: "you want to really make sure you pull it from the back so that the bow center is smaller than the towel."

The final look was perfectly fun and festive.

"It's just such a little cute accent decor."

And her fans were bowing down.

"This is so cute, I’m definitely trying this with my towels!" said one inspired follower.

"Yay," replied Brieana.

"This is adorable," another chimed in.
