Alison Hammond punched by Arnold Schwarzenegger live on This Morning

Alison Hammond gets action masterclass from Arnold Schwarzenegger

This Morning stalwart Alison Hammond found herself on the receiving end of a punch from action movie legend Arnold Schwarzenegger as he promoted his new book on the show.

The 76-year-old Austrian bodybuilding legend appeared on the ITV show on Wednesday to talk about his latest tome Be Useful Seven Tools For Life.

Whilst there he decided to give Alson a stunt masterclass and carefully choreographed a punch to her face.

True to her outgoing personality Alison hilariously reacted to the punch, with Arnold dubbing her acting skills “unbelievable”.

Alison previously interviewed the Terminator star in 2019 and opened their chat by asking if he had missed her.

“Of course I did! How did you know?” he jovially responded.

Clearly comfortable with the bubbly presenter he confessed that he didn’t want his picture to be on the front cover the book.

“The funny thing is I didn’t even want to be on the cover because I felt it’s not a book about me, it’s a book about what I want to teach others, and how to make people happier,” he explained.

“It’s about the people out there, not about me. But the publisher said, ‘no, are you crazy?’ and it went on to be a number one bestseller so who am I to argue?”

He elaborated further on the contents of the book telling Alison: “The other thing I talk about is having to work your a** off!

“You have a choice whether you want to live or do you want to just exist. I like to live… I had the philosophy of staying hungry, as soon as I achieved something, I’d look for the next goal to conquer.”

Speaking about his desire to make it in movies after conquering the bodybuilding world he admitted that he put a lot of work into it.

The Terminator star said: “I believed I could do that and so I went after that. I went to stunt school, I went to acting classes, I took English classes, speech classes, accent removal classes…

“They said to me, ‘You will never be a leading man because you have an accent, forget about it.’ But I have a rule in my book – don’t listen to the naysayers!”

This Morning is on ITV Monday to Friday at 10am.
