Janet Street-Porter silences Loose Women after turning Linda Robson away
Janet Street-Porter admits she turned Linda Robson away from her house
Janet Street-Porter has opened up about not letting her Loose Women co-star Linda Robson into her house, which left the panel speechless.
“Now I will not have people round my house,” Janet explained on Monday’s instalment of Loose Women. “Linda Robson turned up at my house unannounced two years ago, shouted through the letterbox and I told her where to go.”
Her co-stars were left open-mouthed following Janet’s harsh admission before host Christine Lampard asked: “Did you not even open the door?”
Janet continued: “No, I opened the letterbox and said…’Off’ because it was Halloween.”
She added: “And also, I didn’t want her photographing my house and having a good laugh about it.”

A baffled Coleen Nolan asked the outspoken journalist: “Why would someone try and take pictures of your house? You are very insecure!”
A defensive Janet insisted: “No, I am very secure in my taste but I want it to be private.”
Linda was not on the panel to defend herself or explain why she was knocking on Janet’s front door hoping to come inside.

Earlier this year, Janet opened up on why she fled central London to move to Norfolk.
During a Loose Women episode, Linda pointed at Janet and reminisced: “There used to be a club called Fabric down Clerkenwell, right near you.”
“I remember screaming outside your window, ‘Janet come out and have a drink with us!'”
Janet admitted: “It’s one of the reasons I sold that house, it was near two nightclubs, Fabric and Trade where people would come out at 4am, off their wotsits… Dancing outside my house.”
Back in 1997, Janet and architect Piers Gough designed her “dream” representation of a medieval castle in Clerkenwell, London.
The spikey house has a blue roof and sharp windows, which her friend Piers described as a “portrait” of Janet’s brash personality.
The ”celebrated example of postmodernism” was put on the market for £3.75million last year.
“I didn’t want a house that looked too friendly. I wanted a house that looked hostile,” Janet told the BBC programme Building Sights in 2014.
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
